M-3 Mohljaniir MBT

At the time of the Najuhlim Incursion The M-3 Mohljaniir had just entered service with the ground forces of  the Valkiir Conclave. It saw its first taste of combat while participating in the operations to drive the Najuhlim Zealots from earth. The Heavy tanks was the heaviest tanks fielded by the Allied forces and was far more  powerful than the lighter Grav tanks fielded by the TAU Imperium. It even surpassed the Terran Built heavy tanks deployed in the counteroffensives along side it.

The M-3 was based on designs and technology transferred to the Valkiir shortly after the first arrival of Zealot forces in the Sol System and is an enlarged and more heavily armored version of the M-7 MBT fielded by the American States. It used the  same high velocity smoothbore 120mm gun as the M-7 and featured the data networking and  Satellite aided navigation and communications systems as the Terran tanks utilized.

In combat the large size  and high profile made the tank an easier target then the smaller M-7 but the enhanced armor and additional protective hardware negated this slight disadvantage. Zealot heavy armor armed with Plasma cannon and poor quality ATGM's were no match for the M-3 allowing it to spearhead large armored forces with an impressively low combat loss record. Even when forced to expose themselves to hostile fire the M-3 was able to survive despite multiple hits from enemy weapons.

Despite a service life of over 200 years many M-3s are still in service, although with greatly updated electronics armor and subsystems. it serves as part of the Valkiir Conclaves local militia forces. Although considered a second line vehicle it is  still highly resistant to modern weapons and its heavy gun can defeat any armored vehicle deployed by enemies of the conclave.

The final production run of new M-3 Zed12 Mohljaniir tanks recently completed for commercial sales to local militias marks the  final variant of the design. newer grav vehicle now mount the  same armor and can fire high recoil weapons without loss of speed or maneuverability. With this advance it is assumed the days of the tracked AFV have  finally drawn to an end.
