Valkiir typically use fighters capable of both atmospheric and exo-atmospheric operation. However when this proves to be impractical or a needles expense Valkiir ships carry dedicated Exofighters ( Star-fighters )

as with all Valkiir designs, speed, firepower, agility and combat performance are primary deign priorities. comfort, defensive armament, and technological sophistication are not deciding factors.

Valkiir exofighters tend not to be cutting edge technology, instead they use proven, reliable and combat tested technology. Put in the hands of skilled pilots, this has proven to be a very successful design concept.

Put in the hands of lesser pilots, it's a good way to generate funds for the military and not create a threat to the Valkiir fleet. Few races can use the Valkiir designs with anywhere near the effectiveness of the Valkiir
