The Pilum is a Point defense interceptor designated as Fleet defense fighter. It's small size high thrust, and armor allow it to deal with most light starship weapons, and resist ground fire when deployed as a local defense fighter to protect Fleet installations. The high thrust also allows it to easily outdistance most missiles, or move to intercept missiles, torpedoes and small craft. The Pilum one of several classes of fighters used for defensive operations. built at a lower tech level than most modern warships it is cost effective and is produced in high numbers being produced ad fielded with various forces.
Model and textures Are personal work. from scratch, six hours work time. The images of the side and top have some pixilation in places but i was pretty happy wit the front and angled views.
I was happy with this one, I was able to do the UV-mapping, and created the textures from scratch. They area bit basic, but I am getting better at the basics
Originally I had fitted the design with wiglets, and a few other add-ons. But once I was finished I decided the fighter would look far more sleek, ad aggressive with fewer extra parts.
