Abigail Rayne ( victim XIII )

A Picture of an NPC I created for one of my sci-fi games. She comes with a few handy plot hools and built in chances for the PCs to be Big Damn Heroes.

Abbigail, or Rayne to her friends Is a Internexus celebrity for her survival of more than twenty episodes of the underground ( and highly illegal) Stalkers game. At age 14 she was tagged as a victim by the unknown administrator of the nexus game. In retaliation for her father ( a NYPD patrol Officer) killing one of the games most successful stalkers.

Despite her youth, and lack of weapons she managed to kill her stalker by hacking running him down in a stolen patrol car. After that the stalkers began to hunt her to set an example. Out of the twenty six stalkers who have gone after Rayne 12 were killed, or seriously injured by the young girl. the remainder lost her after running into a series of improvised devices and booby traps.

Her choice of weapons often include vehicles, remote operated devices, and what ever happens to be handy. After she began to gain in experience she developed a taste for explosives, and hidden booby traps which she carried in her backpack.

By age 18 Rayne had developed into a very lethal young woman having received extensive firearms, and hand to hand training from friends and family. In the last two episodes, she switched from simply avoiding and delaying her stalkers to actively hunting them once she discovered they were on her trail.

Using a number of contacts who have been gained due to her notoriety and folk hero status she has gained access to a number of weapons, body armor, and reportedly significant nano-machine upgrades. allowing her to go from victim to hunter.

Due to the fact that most agencies consider the Stalkers violent serial killers, few interfere in Rayne's "self Defense" activities, and several have repeatedly refused to disarm or detain the young woman.

In an interview She as asked why she refuses police protection, or witness relocation...

Rayne: "I guess I don't like people getting hurt...those officers have families and stuff. I feel bad when they get hurt...besides they get in my way and I have to worry about keeping them alive.."

Reporter: "You are responsible for the death or serious injury of twenty people. Some people say that doesn't sound like the actions of a scared girl, it sounds like you are as bad as they are Some people even go so far to say you seem to enjoy yourself."

Rayne: "HEY LADY YOU EVER WATCH THAT THING. They are trying to kill me... Geez lady I didn't even get to attend my prom thanks to those monsters...And I had a great dress picked out.... ya know what happened to my date! he ended up in the hospital!...It's like I am living in some really bad Holo...I keep expecting one of them to be wearing a hockey mask next time! And Yeah I like seing one of those bastard splatter his face on the sidewalk. Let one of "some people " get shot at trying to buy a new pair of shoes with their mother and see if they don't get a little vindictive!"

Seconds later the reporter was struck by a stray round from a stalker using the news feed to track Rayne.

Rayne: (wiping brains off her jacket as she ran for cover) "Damn it! I just bought that!."
